Stainless Steel Bottom Freezer Refrigerator - Energy Star We were very happy with the LG front loader/dryer and so we purchased the LG refrig - 6 months in the single shelf frame cracked, they said it was "cosmetic" and not covered - $269 and 2 months later the replacement shelf broke in the same place - right in the middle . now the frame for the produce bins has cracked on both sides -"cosmetic" - the bottom door shelf cracked "cosmetic" - the front of the refrig suddenly has 3 streaks of something that won't come off or polish out - the thing works, but you might want to keep it in a closet for produce only - oh yeah, the cover to the light will not stay on - and you would have to unscrew the glass from the frame to get the gunk out, if hot water on high force doesn't help - disgusted with this LG and their lack of service. Buyer beware. Since the refrigerator was still keeping things cold the dealer didn't send a repair person for 2 weeks. He found the fan that cools the compressor was broken and not working. He said it would take a few days for the part to come in. Today, after waiting another two weeks I was told it would be in next Friday- another week. The space is amazing and it's nice to have everything on eye level. We installed it over the weekend, and it's humming right along. The adjustable nature of the shelving is nice, though the drawers are set in place. I also like the fact that the door has a place for wine bottles to fit, but also has an additional shelf to use is there aren't any wine bottle to store. One thing to get use to is that being stainless, magnets are a thing of the past, and the little compartments in the door on the freezer are non-existent with the drawer style. But I popped by the dollar store for some sorting baskets to keep those little things reined in. |
